Our network analysis tools assess how demand response affects power flows in the distribution network.
The GORE (grid overload risk exposure) tool is designed to show network operators how demand response affects grid occupancy. Specifically, it evaluates how flexible resources such as charging stations for electric vehicles may respond to variable energy prices, what parts of the network are at risk to be overloaded and how much flexibility will be required by networks operator to mitigate these risks. The tool allows SEITA to perform power flow calculations on specific network topologies describing grid components and load profiles. Essentially, the GORE tool allows network operators and aggregators to assess in which situations they will need to coordinate.
