Where to meet us in the fall of 2023

After the summer break, we’re excited to go out and talk to other energy professionals about the value we can create together, and how. We are booked on two very cool events – FlexCon and Vakbeurs Energie. Here is what is already booked in Fall of 2023 for Seita:

After visiting for the last times, we are now speakers on the premium conference for energy flexibility: FlexCon 2023 on 20th and 21st of September, in Brussels!

Nicolas will talk about “Open source in smart energy – principles, opportunities & examples”

Here is a short outline of our presentation:
Nicolas advises you to not bet against Open source software in managing smart and flexible energy systems. After all, open source is driving innovation in other parts of the digital world like databases or machine learning ― why not in energy? Open source (and open standards) make long-term strategy easier (solving Make-or-Buy and Lock-In problems) and can save costs (win-win effects).

Eco-systems around open source smart energy are emerging, with some bigger names joining, as well (e.g. Alliander, Shell). With Seita Energy Flexibility, Nicolas has spent multiple years in this growing niche. He will narrate their own journey in open innovation, including the recent implementation of FAN’s open protocol for energy flexibility (S2, also by TNO). In addition, Nicolas will list several other project examples in open source smart energy software.

We will be present at the Vakbeurs Energie 2023 in Den Bosch upcoming October. This fair is one of the main industry events for the energy sector.

We will be talking about a new collaboration with (among others) SmartDodos. The goal is to provide a fully integrated smart energy management platform to companies who install modern energy equipment.

What do we mean with “fully integrated”? We mean the complete technology stack and all of the customer journey of data-driven & smart energy management. The platform delivers open source technology from IoT to cloud optimization and services from digital twin to real-time control (you can see how FlexMeasures plays a crucial role here). The new service concept is called FlexoWatts, and we’re quite excited to make it concrete with the first customers and use cases (most likely we’ll begin around EV charging).
