Seita is a Dutch-German startup with a unique stance on “no lock-in innovation”.

No black box

We’re a small team of engineers who think that energy optimization, scheduling and forecasting are an essential part of any renewable energy strategy.

The energy optimization engines that form the backbone of these systems should be auditable, transparent, extensible and adhere to industry-accepted standards.

Which is why FlexMeasures, the software that our schedule optimization capabilities are based on, is fully open source and is hosted by the Linux Foundation Energy.

In addition, interoperability becomes a major theme in the energy landscape.

We work on supporting open device-protocols like S2, OCPP and Matter as well as grid&market protocols like OpenADR aand aFRR in our FlexMeasures technology, so that it “just works“ in the energy system of the future.

Overall, we believe energy systems need to be highly interconnected, but should not lock you into technological choices or vendors.

Expert partners

At a time when many companies are looking to LLMs to solve everything, we think that energy scheduling is a challenge best addressed through mathematical models, which is how we’ve built FlexMeasures.
